The 8001 expedition boot was born from the precious collaboration with Denis Urubko, one of the very few climbers to have conquered all the peaks over eight thousand meters, a perfect synthesis of innovative construction technologies, performance and usability.
Designed for expeditions to the highest and most demanding peaks on the planet, a true concentrate of technology, 8001 ensures maximum thermal insulation, protection from snow infiltrations and safe and rapid attachment with automatic crampons.
The inner liner, made of microfibre with reinforcements on the heel, ankle and toe, is padded with Primaloft hollow fiber, which guarantees maximum insulation from the rigid external temperatures. Easy lacing even with gloves thanks to the fast-sliding laces and differentiated lacing for an optimal fit.
The external structure of the boot is made of sturdy anti-break and water-repellent synthetic fabric with a high profile, to prevent snow from penetrating towards the foot, with an asymmetrical waterproof zip closure. Integrated, Aerotherm technology, which protects from the most intense cold, thanks to the specific composition, made for more than 90% of air, using Airgel, an insulating agent with the lowest thermal conductivity of any other solid.
Robust, durable, flexible and without any loss of insulating properties even in the case of heavy loads. The high rubber band is applied to the external hull to obtain maximum resistance against abrasion. The complex insole is made of EVA and heat reflective aluminum layer for greater thermal insulation from the ground and ice.
The sole block is compact and hyper-technical, with microporous midsole, SMART PU technology and TPU insert in the heel for secure attachment of automatic crampons, Vibram Teton tread to ensure optimal traction in mixed and fresh snow conditions.
